From the profound roots in the 1970s, following a significant exodus to the UK, SLP Samaj (UK) has blossomed. Marking our journey since 1981, we've nurtured our culture and united our community, embracing both tradition and innovation across generations.
The roots of SLP Samaj (UK) trace back to the mid-1970s, a pivotal time when many of our community members sought refuge in the UK following the 1972 exodus from Uganda. The transition was significant, given the flourishing Samaj we had in Uganda. By 1981, as our activities burgeoned, we released our first directory, marking the beginning of three decades of unwavering commitment to nurturing our culture and fostering community spirit. Over the past 40 years, we've witnessed profound transformations: new generations have emerged, innovative ideas have sprouted, our community has thrived, and we've embraced the technological revolution.
A Legacy of Tradition and Progress.
